There’s a reason we named our New York State Grants funding program Arts Alive. That’s because it is a grassroots program that recognizes that arts are an expression of the people. So in every corner of this great County, artists and citizens are working together to bring to residents unique programs that reflect the interests and aspirations of their community. These grants are available in Westchester and Rockland Counties through ArtsWestchester, and there’s still time to apply until September 18 in Westchester and October 2 in Rockland. If you are lucky enough to receive one of these grants, you can thank your lucky stars – or better still, you can thank your state legislators for making these grants available, and for keeping the arts alive.
